Hall bei Admont, Styria, municipality in the district of Liezen, alt. 682 m, pop. 1,701 (1981: pop. 1,465), area 50.72 km2, on the left bank of the River Enns at the foot of the Haller Mauern Mountain Range; connected with Admont by a bridge over the River Enns. - Electric power station of Admont Monastery; school: landwirtschaftliche Fachschule (college of agriculture); concrete factory, summer tourism (21,993 overnight stays). Oldest saline springs of Styria (first documented mention 931); parish church (consecrated in 1095, alterations 17th - 19th centuries), remarkable Baroque interior, in the district of Muehlau, manor house of the former scythe manufacturers (16th /17th centuries).
