Heinrich Heinbuche von Langenstein Heinricus de Hassia#
b. Langenstein (Germany), 1325, d. Vienna, Feb. 11, 1397, one of the most prolific scholars of the late medieval period; first he was professor and vice chancellor at the University of Paris, 1384 was called to Vienna by Duke Albrecht III, where he was of great significance in the re-organisation of the course of study at the university (1388/89 Dean of the Theological Faculty, 1393/94 Rector). Wrote approx. 100 scientific papers and works dealing with social and Church policy, and also sermons from which only a small part has been printed.
