Hermesvilla#
Hermesvilla Hunting Lodge, in Vienna´s 13th district, former hunting seat in the Lainzer Tiergarten, 1882-1884 built by C. v. Hasenauer for Empress Elisabeth. Named after the Hermes statue in the central axis of the garden front (by Ernst Herter). Severely damaged in World War II, 1979 renovated (interior decoration from the times of Makart, partly preserved), affiliated to and used by the Historisches Museum der Stadt Wien for special exhibitions.
