Kalsdorf bei Graz#

Kalsdorf bei Graz, Styria, market town in the district of Graz-Umgebung, alt. 324 m, pop. 4,265, area 15.09 km2, industrial centre in the Grazer Feld plain, situated on the right bank of the River Mur/Mura to the south of Graz. Nittner barracks and airbase, branch office of the health insurance agency, airport (1994) and leisure facilities. In 1991 about 59% of the workforce was employed in the production industry (hardware, corrugated board, timber industry, industrial estate with numerous enterprises and a large-scale mail-order business); modern parish church built between 1963 and 1965), Thalerhof Castle (17th century) with arcaded courtyard.
