Katholische Soziallehre#
Catholic Social Teachings, collection of all norms that result from the law of nature and from Christian revelation and relate to the social order. The three basic principles of Catholic Social Teachings are: the principle of individuality, the principle of solidarity and the principle of subsidiarity. It was the radical economic, social, political and cultural changes of the 19th century that led to the development of these important social norms. The fundamental document of the Catholic Social Teachings is the papal Social Encyclical "Rerum novarum" (1891) which was largely formulated by K. v. Vogelsangand other Austrian social reformers and which had great influence on the ideas and actions of the Christian Socialist Movement in Austria.
