Kirchdorf in Tirol, Tirol, municipality in the district of Kitzbuehel, alt. 641 m, pop. 3,250. (1981: pop. 2,746), area 113.80 km2, bi-seasonal tourist resort (438,994 overnight stays, mainly summer resort) situated in the Leukental Valley at the eastern foot of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. -- power station; miniature golf; production of insulating materials; concrete and sand production; food wholesaling. - Late Gothic parish church, re-designed in Baroque style with late Gothic fortified tower (interior around 1830), subsidiary church in Erpfendorf (1956/1957 by C. Holzmeister).
