Kobersdorf#

Kobersdorf, Burgenland, market town in the district of Oberpullendorf, alt. 320 m, pop. 1,799, area 27.30 km2, situated in central Burgenland at the foot of Pauliberg (761 m), near the border to Lower Austria.- Mineral spring, bottling of mineral water.- Baroque parish church (1728), Protestant church (1785, reconstructed in 1856), synagogue (1848), moated castle (16th -17th centuries) with arcaded courtyard (1654) and Gothic chapel. Since 1972 plays have been performed in the courtyard in summer. Basalt deposits near Kobersdorf.
