Krier, Rob#
b. Grevenmacher (Luxembourg), June 10, 1938, architect and sculptor. Studied in Luxembourg and Munich. Teacher in Stuttgart and Lausanne, 1975-1999 professor at the Vienna University of Technology. In his book "Stadtraum in Theorie und Praxis" (1975) he concentrates on the planning and redevelopment of urban areas. Implemented urban construction projects and housing schemes within the framework of the IBA in Berlin (Ritterstrasse, 1977-1980, Rauchstrasse, 1980-1985) and Vienna (Breitenfurter Strasse). Is a major exponent of postmodern architecture of international renown.
