Lehár, Anton Freiherr von#
Lehár, Baron Anton von, b. Sopron, Hungary (then Oedenburg), Feb. 21, 1867, d. Vienna, Nov. 12, 1962, regular officer, brother of Franz Lehár, royalist Hungarian colonel. In World War I awarded the title of Theresienritter for his services, drafted the last order for the imperial army. Commanded the so-called "white" troops opposing the annexation of Burgenland to Austria and supported the attempt to restore King Karl to the throne of Hungary (Oct. 22-24, 1921); later lived in Austria.
