Lemisch, Arthur#

b. St. Veit an der Glan (Carinthia), Feb. 4, 1865, d. St. Veit an der Glan, Oct. 29, 1953, liberal politician, land owner. 1896 member of the Carinthian Landtag, 1897-1907 in the Reichsrat, Nov. 11, 1918 - July 22, 1921 National Administrator in Carinthia, 1927-1931 Landeshauptmann in Carinthia. In 1882 helped draw up the Linz Programme , after 1907 dedicated himself to Carinthia´s problems, one of the most important personalities in the Carinthian Resistance Movement and held in esteem in the province.
