Literarische Tischgesellschaften#
Literary Salons, regular social gatherings of poets, artists and art lovers, in Vienna particularly from the period of Vormaerz (e.g. the Ludlamshoehle). Around 1840 E. v. Bauernfeld ran the "Soupiritum", with F. Stelzhamerand others as members. F. Kaiser founded the "Green Island" in 1855. The "Anzengrube" circle was formed around L. Anzengruber, in "Lagerwaldl" am Neubau the "Hawel round" gathered around the poet R. Hawel; around A. Ilg a circle came together which included H. Grasberger, A. Mueller-Guttenbrunn, C. Karlweis, V. Chiavacci etc, who first met at "Lothringer" at the Kohlmarkt, later in the restaurant Mitzko at Schottentor. The friends around H. S. Waldeckmet in "Leostuebchen" in the Fichtehof coffeehouse; R. Kralikwas the centre of the "Kralik Round"; the "Appel-Stuerzer Round" also included members of the "Muskete", such as F. T. Csokor, E. Danszky, R. Greinz, R. Hohlbaum, M. Jelusich, M. Morold, R. J. Kreutz, E. H. Rainalter, K. H. Strobl, S. Trebitsch, J. Weinheberand A. Wildgans.
