Made in Austria#

Made in Austria, label which, based on international agreement, indicates that a product is of Austrian origin. The value created in Austria has to account for at least 50 % of the value of the article. Due to an ever increasing balance-of-trade deficit, Austrian industry has been trying to induce customers to buy Austrian products since 1979 (slogan: "Ja zu A" (Purchase Austrian goods!)). To promote Austrian products abroad, advertising campaigns have been carried out since 1957 and information centres have been set up at international sports events by the Economic Chamber.
