Nissl, Franz#
b. Česke Budějovice, Czech Republic (then Budweis), Sept. 1, 1852, d. Vienna, April 30, 1942, electrical engineer and industrialist. 1884 founded together with Karl Czeija the telegraph construction company "Telephon- und Telegraphenfabrik Czeija, N. & Co." (1905 Ltd.) and in 1923 built the first radio transmitters and receivers to be produced in series. 1927 retired from his management position but remained a member of the administrative board of directors until 1938.
