Pächt, Otto#
b. Vienna, Sept. 7, 1902, Vienna, April 17, 1988, art historian. 1933 habilitation in Heidelberg, then emigrated to England, Taught in London, New York, Princeton and Cambridge; 1963-1972 university professor in Vienna. Wrote numerous important works mainly concerning the development of style of 15th century European art and medieval book illumination.
