Pernitz#

Pernitz, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Wiener Neustadt, alt. 430 m, pop. 2,513, area 16.60 km2, in the upper Piestingtal valley, at the mouth of Myrabach stream, in the wooded Mittelgebirge mountains; in the vicinity, Myra Falls. - Recreation homes; paper-mill (partly on the territory of the municipality of Waidmannsfeld), wood processing, building enterprise. - Parish church with Gothic choir (15th century); Baroque Stations of the Cross chapels; Raimund Villa (1820).
