Pippal, Hans Robert#
Pippal, Hans Robert, b. Vienna, April 4, 1915, d. Vienna, Nov. 6, 1998, painter. Became very well-known in the post-war years for his book illustrations (e.g. in E. Marboe, Das Oesterreich-Buch, 1948) and book jackets; created mosaics for housing complexes and religious objets d´art made of enamel, and painted portraits and paintings of official occasions.
