Rudofsky, Bernard#
Rudofsky, Bernard, b. Vienna, April 13, 1905, d. New York (USA), March 12, 1988, architect, architecture expert. 1922-1928 studied at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna (now Vienna University of Technology). 1937-1938 partner of Giovanni Ponti in Milan, 1938-1941 freelance architect in São Paulo, from 1941 in New York. For many years freelance exhibition director and consultant for the Museum of Modern Art, as well as editor of architecture magazines; 1957-1958 designer of the US government´s exhibition at the World Fair in Brussels; 1958-1960 research professor at Waseda University, Tokyo; 1961-1963 member of the Advisory Screening Committee on Art and Architecture; visiting professor at various European universities.
