Scheiblingkirchen-Thernberg, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Neunkirchen, alt. 373 m, pop. 1,842, area 37.84 km2, situated near the confluence of the Schlattenbach stream and the river Pitten in the Bucklige Welt region. - Construction companies. - Parish church, Romanesque circular structure built before 1164, part above the wreath-like cornice added in 1656; ring-shaped cemetery wall with crenels around the church; ruins of Tuerkensturz Castle. In Thernberg, Romanesque parish church (12th century) with Renaissance gravestones; Baroque column dedicated to the Holy Trinity (1714); castle ruins with Romanesque tower (first documented mention in 1147); Neues Schloss palace (1774).
