Schneidmadl, Heinrich#

b. Gutenstein (Lower Austria), Feb. 20, 1886, d. Vienna, Oct. 31, 1965, editor and social democratic politician, originally typesetter. 1919-1920 member of the Constituent National Assembly, 1920-1927 member of the Nationalrat, 1927-1934 member of the Lower Austrian provincial government. In 1934 tried to establish contact between the Social Democrats and K. Schuschnigg. 1945 subordinate Staatssekretaer of Public Construction, 1946-1949 again member of the Lower Austrian provincial government, then worked for the Lower Austrian energy supply company NEWAG (now EVN).
