Schrack, Eduard Harald#

b. Vienna, April 3, 1930. Industrialist, son of Eduard Schrack. Studied physics in Vienna, joined his father´s company (Schrack Elektrizitaets AG, from 1980 Schrack Elektronik AG) in 1952; from 1962 member of the board, from 1973-1991 director of the board. Made the company one of the biggest communication companies in Austria. From 1978 cooperation with Swedish Ericsson group, which 1991-1997 took over almost 100% of the shares of Schrack Elektronik AG to form Ericsson Austria AG. Concentration on Schrack Components AG made the latter one of the biggest producers of print relays in Europe (exports in 1994: 96 %). Eduard Harald Schrack sold the company to Siemens AG Oesterreich in 1994.
