Sleytr, Uwe B#
b. Vienna, July 15, 1942, biologist. Studied food and fermentation technology at Vienna University of Agricultural Sciences, since 1977 professor and head of the Centre for Ultrastructural Research of that university. Special fields of research include two-dimensional protein crystals and various aspects of materials separation, biosensorics, vaccine development, molecular nanotechnology and biomimetics.
