Sprenger, Paul#
Sprenger, Paul, b. Zagan, Poland (then Sagan), Aug. 20, 1798, d. Vienna, Oct. 29, 1854, architect. Student of P. v. Nobile at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, 1828 professor; 1842 head of public works. His use of raw brick and terra-cotta decorations was taken over by the architects of monumental buildings on Vienna´s Ringstrasse.
