Strass in Steiermark, Styria, market town in the district of Leibnitz, alt. 254 m, pop. 1,552, area 8.72 km2, in the Mur valley, close to the Slovene border. - Erzherzog-Johann barracks; abattoir, building trade, trade. - Parish church (former palace church, 1628); palace (built from 1583 by the Eggenberger family, since 1852 military institution, today barracks).
