Timelkam#
Timelkam, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Voecklabruck, alt. 454 m, pop. 5,723, area 18.09 km2, situated at the confluence of the Duerre Ager River and the Voeckla River at the southern fringe of the Hausruck Mountains. - Road maintenance depot, thermal station with Timelkam 2 district heating plant (built in 1962, 60 MW) and Timelkam 3 (built in 1974, 80 MW gas turbine, waste heat utilization in 26 MW steam turbine); monastery of the Salesians of Don Bosco; 1,488 gainfully employed people (1991); industry and trade: knitwear, production of mattresses, factory for lighting fixtures (in construction), industrial assembling, building trade. - Baroque parish church (1733) with altar painting by M. Altomonte; toll tower (1610).
