Urlaub#
Holidays (holiday leave), employee's entitlement to release from work with continued remuneration and valid employment contract, derived from the employer's duty to afford social and medical assistance. Almost all employees whose employment is based on contracts under private law are entitled to take 30 working days off during each year of work on the basis of the Law on Holidays (Urlaubsgesetz) of 1976; after 25 years of employment they are entitled to holidays comprising 36 workdays.
