Versehrtenrente#

Disability Pension, benefit granted by the Accident Insurance institutions. It can be claimed by persons whose earning capacity is reduced (by at least 20%) during more than 3 months. A pension is also granted if the disabled person is gainfully employed (no suspension of benefit payments). The maximum amount paid is 66,6% of the assessment basis (full pension). In 1993, 80,606 pensions for slightly disabled persons (ATS 2,104 on average) and 10,811 pensions for severely disabled persons (ATS 7,668 on average) were paid out.
