Weißbach bei Lofer#

Weissbach bei Lofer, province of Salzburg, municipality in the district of Zell am See, alt. 665 m, pop. 391, area 69.56 km2, small tourist village (33,045 overnight stays in 1992) at the confluence of the Weissbach stream and River Saalach, northwest of Saalfelden; cadastral district of Oberweissbach and Unterweissbach. Office of the Bavarian Saal forest administration. - Late-Baroque parish church (documented mention in 1663), reconstruction according to a plan by W. Hagenauer in 1791. Close to Seisenberg gorge, Lamprecht cave (entrance on the municipal territory of Sankt Martin bei Lofer).
