Weiss, Friedrich (pseudonym: Fritz Woess), b. Vienna, Feb. 19, 1920. Civil servant and writer. Became famous through his sensational novel about the battle of Stalingrad "Hunde, wollt ihr ewig leben" (filmed in 1958).
