Zirbitzkogel Mountain, Upper Styria, 2,396 m, highest peak of the Seetal Alps, name derived from Slovenian "Zirbiza" (Rote Alm/Red Alp), with Zirbitzkogel-Haus mountain refuge (2,376 m) and meteorological radar station, skiing area. Accessible from Judenburg, Neumarkt in der Steiermark, and Scheifling. The River Lavant rises in Zirbitzkogel Mountain from Lake Lavant. Training camp of the Austrian Federal Armed Forces.
