b. Vienna, Sept. 14, 1904, d. Pollensa (Mallorca, Spain), May 31, 1997, journalist and author of non-fiction. Editor of the newspaper "Neue Freie Presse" from 1924 to 1929, later correspondent of various journals in Southeast Europe and in East Asia, freelance author from 1934; lived at San Vicente on Mallorca from 1935. Wrote numerous popular non-fiction books on the present development of science and technology ("Wissenschaft bricht Monopole", 1936; "Oelkrieg", 1939).
