Ladis#
Ladis, Tirol, municipality in the district of Landeck, alt. 1,189 m, pop. 440, area 7.10 km2. Bi-seasonal holiday resort (133,718 overnight stays) with a small lake in the Oberinntal valley, at the foot of the Samnaun Mountains. - Sulphur spring (pipeline to the sulphur bath in Ladis) and mineral spring (mineral water bottling) in Obladis (formerly Bad Obladis, mineral spring discovered in the 13th century). Classicist parish church (1829-1831), Laudegg castle (first documentary mention in 1239, was partly rebuilt in 1943 and 1967-1969). Richly painted traditional buildings in the centre of Ladis ("Stockerhaus", town hall etc.).
