Neudau#
Neudau, Styria, market town in the district of Hartberg, market town, alt. 289 m, pop. 1,166, area 10.14 km2, situated at the River Lafnitz and at the border to the province of Burgenland. - Power station, staple and synthetic fibre spinning mill. Gothic-Baroque parish church, interior altered in 1968; castle (first documented mention 1371, alterations 16th - 19th century), small theatre in the park; spinning mill classified and protected as historical monument with towers from the age of Promoterism (founded in 1845). Typical three- and four-sided Styrian farmhouses.
