Pichl, Alois auch Luigi#
b. Milan (Italy), 1782, d. Vienna, May 19, 1856, architect. Important representative of Romanticism; in a usually cubic style, often tending towards a massive heaviness, created buildings inspired by both classicist and neo-Gothic elements for members of the Habsburg family and the high nobility mainly in Northern Italy, Vienna and Hungary.
