Schmiderer, Simon#
b. Saalfelden (Salzburg), Jan. 27, 1911. Architect. Fled from Austria in 1938; from 1944 worked for Time Life publishing house (New York), from 1947 for the Library and General Assembly of the UN Headquarters in New York. From 1952 realisation of a extensive residential building scheme in Puerto Rico, which was based on the concept of serial housing ("One house in one hour") and supported by the Rockefeller foundation.
