Staberl#
Staberl, character of the old-Viennese burlesque theatre, introduced in the play "Die Buerger in Wien" by A. Baeuerle in 1813, created by the actor I. Schuster, whose father owned a restaurant called "Zum Staberl", continued by C. Carl and adapted in many "Staberliaden" plays. Original image of the "little man" who is very resourceful in combining natural wit and common sense; today the pen name of the columnist of the "Neue Kronen Zeitung" newspaper, R. Nimmerrichter.
