Stuhlfelden, province of Salzburg, municipality in the district of Zell am See, alt. 800 m, pop. 1,388, area 29.67 km2, tourism (57,668 overnight stays, mainly in the summer), located north of the River Salzach, in the Oberpinzgau region. - Leisure centre; Burgwies Spa with acratic calcium-magnesium-sodium-hydrogen carbonate-sulfur spring (private, exploited since the 15th century); sawmill. - Romanesque deanery church (original parish of the Pinzgau region, first documented mention 963) with Gothic choir and west tower and Romanesque portal (mid-13th century), marble high altar (1783) by W. Hagenauer with late-Gothic miracle-working painting (1470-80); Lichtenau Castle (1506, school); Lambach Castle (first documented mention 1352, alterations 1591); old log farmhouses (16th century core).
