Verbundkraft Elektrizitätswerke GmbH#
Verbundkraft Elektrizitaetswerke GmbH, founded in 1958 as "Dampfkraftwerk Korneuburg GmbH" for the construction of the Korneuburg power plant together with NEWAG (today EVN AG); The company was given its present name during the construction of the Duernrohr power plant. The Verbundkraft Elektrizitaetswerke GmbH is a special corporation of the Verbundkonzern, which has 100% ownership. The company operated one power-station unit each in the thermal power plants of Duernrohr and Korneuburg (both in Lower Austria) and owned the Austrian shares of the hydroelectric power plants of Ering and Obernberg am Inn (Upper Austria). Until 1999 subsidiary owned by Verbundgesellschaft, later merged with Donaukraftwerke AG ( Donaukraft), Tauernkraftwerke AG and VEG to form Austrian Hydro Power AG, which also belongs to the Verbundkonzern.
