Viechtwang#

Viechtwang, Upper Austria, village in the district of Gmunden, alt. 510 m, lying in the Almtal valley, cadastral district of the municipality of Scharnstein. Power plant at Rankleiten, wood and metal industries, spectacles production; Baroque parish church (documented mention in 1159), built 1691-1723, with ceiling paintings and murals by W. A. Heindl (around 1725).
