Weistümer#
Weistuemer (also called Taidinge), established customary law of a manorial property (a village); laid down and pronounced at the village assembly (Taiding) in the late Middle Ages, written records from the 14th /15th centuries. Collections of Weistuemer exist in many rural areas throughout the Austrian provinces; they were produced by interaction between the lords of the manor and the community of the vassals and often by consulting trustworthy village elders.
