Auf 19 ha Ausstellungsfläche, das entspricht 27 Fußballfeldern, sind permanent 2 Millionen Einzelkunstwerke zu bewundern. Zu den Höhepunkten des Museums zählt der 2000 Jahre alte, ägyptische Dendur Tempel, der Muttergöttin Isis geweiht ist.
With over 6 million visitors a year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art ranks second behind the Louvre. On 19 hectares of exhibition space, which corresponds to 27 football fields, 2 million individual works of art can be admired permanently. From the world of the Babylonians to modern times, the Metropolitan Museum offers a journey through time and the world, through all eras of human history.
