Complicated stucco ornaments, opulent arabesque grills of marble and 3.000 hand-woven carpets make the prayer room into a treasure house of arts. The mihrab, the prayer niche oriented to Mecca, and the minbar, the pulpit of the Friday sermon, are located there. Komplizierte Stuckornamente, arabeskenreiche Fenstergitter aus Marmor und 3.000 handgewebte Teppiche machen den Gebetsraum selbst zu einem Schatzhaus der Künste. Dort erhebt sich der Mihrab, die immer nach Mekka ausgerichtete Gebetsnische, neben dem Minbar, der Kanzel für die Freitagspredigt.
