The ancient Tlos 36.552536, 29.420794 reminds of past splendour, when the important metropolis of the Lycian League still enjoyed triple voting rights. In Roman times Tlos bore the title of 'the most brilliant metropolis of the Lycian nation'. An imposing acropolis with a rock necropolis tells of its former reputation. In front of it a huge stadium provided the stage for sporting and artistic competitions.
Das antike Tlos 36.552536, 29.420794 erinnert an vergangene Pracht, als die bedeutende Metropole im Lykischen Bund noch dreifaches Stimmrecht genoss. In der Römerzeit erhielt Tlos den Titel 'glänzendste Metropole der lykischen Nation'. Vom einstigen Ruf der Stadt kündet ein imposanter Akropolis-Hügel mit Felsennekropole. Davor bot ein riesiges Stadion die Bühne für sportliche und musische Wettkämpfe.
