During the Middle Ages, Roskilde became one of the most important cities in Northern Europe. Until 1443 it was the royal residence and thus the capital of Denmark.
Während des Mittelalters stieg Roskilde zu einer der wichtigsten Städte Nordeuropas auf. Sie war bis 1443 Sitz der Könige und damit Hauptstadt Dänemarks.
