On of the most worthwhile destinations of the northern coast of Samos is situated high above the valley of the nightingales: Manolates represents, with its narrow alleys and charming houses, the picture of the perfect Greek nostalgia. People make their living on viticulture and the cultivation of apples, but above all from selling artistic souvenirs.
Eines der lohnendsten Ziele an der Nordküste von Samos liegt hoch über dem Tal der Nachtigallen: Monolates passt mit seinen engen Gassen und schmucken Häusern in das Bild einer perfekten Griechenland-Nostalgie. Man lebt vom Wein- und Apfelanbau, vor allem aber vom Verkauf künstlerischer Souvenirs.
