Dalaas, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Bludenz, alt. 835 m, pop. 1,580, area 94.31 km2, winter tourist resort (117,332 overnight stays) in Klostertal valley, at the foot of the Rote Wand mountain (alt. 2,704 m). - Youth centre and holiday home. - Documented mention 1303 as "Zu Talaus" mining settlement; Gothic parish church, converted in accordance with Baroque taste (1792), with Baroque altars and Rococo pulpit, Heiligkreuzkirche church (1748) with elaborately carved high altar; close to Lake Formarinsee; Spullersee lake with storage power station of the Austrian Federal Railways (OeBB; built in 1925, 47,000 MWh).
