Lenzing AG#
Lenzing AG, important producer of man-made cellulosic fibres for textile and non-textile applications world-wide, head office in Lenzing (Upper Austria); established in 1938 as Zellwolle Lenzing. The group has an annual production of more than 260,000 tonnes of cellulose fibre; total turnover in 1996 ATS 7.7 billion, about 4,900 employees worldwide. Production plants in Europe, North and South America and in the Far East. Since 1997 Lenzing has been applying new technologies in the production of Lyocell fibres at its Heiligenkreuz production site in Lafnitztal valley (Burgenland).
