Prokop, Liese#

b. Vienna, March 27, 1941, athlete (track and field) and politician (Austrian People´s Party, OeVP); wife of Gunnar Prokop. Won silver medal in the pentathlon at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico, 1969 set a world record with 5352 points in the pentathlon, European champion. Since 1969 delegate in the Landtag of Lower Austria, since 1981 member of the provincial government of Lower Austria and Landesraetin with responsibility for sports, modern art, social affairs, youth and family; since 1992 deputy Landeshauptfrau. Married to the handball trainer Gunnar P.
