The land of the Basques has something for everyone. Bilbao Spain, Bilbao attracts with futuristic architecture, while the part of the country along the Pilgrim's Way from Estella to San Juan de la Pena thrills with innumerable small gems of sacred architecture. Deep gorges and barren plateaus accompany the traveler crossing the western Pyrenees to the fancy French seaside resort of Biarritz. Behind San Sebastian, Spain's capital of gourmets the cliff coast around Zumaia literally shows its teeth. Every year in early July people party till they drop. There is lots of bull-action celebrating the time of Sanfermines, typically in Pamplona.

South of it is the grandiose erosion landscape of Bardenas Reales, a real highlight for every nature lover.
