Exner, Karl#
b. Prague (Czech Republic), March 26, 1842, d. Vienna, Dec. 11, 1914, physicist; son of Franz Serafin Exner.; 1871-1874 teacher at the grammar school at Troppau; lived in Vienna from 1874-1894; from 1894 professor of mathematical physics at Innsbruck University; analysed among other things optical and geometrical problems.
