Margules, Max#
b. Brody, Ukraine, April 23, 1856, d. Perchtoldsdorf, Lower Austria, Oct. 4, 1920, meteorologist. 1885-1906 at the Central Meteorological Institute, from 1906 engaged in private study. Focused in particular on atmospheric tides and established a theory on polar fronts and air pressure waves.
